PAST WEEKS NEWS

We have removed many programs from our list. The temporary closure of Gold Games seems to have a negative effect that influence people not to spend anymore. Most of these programs and gold games need new members to continue.

Trader Group has posted the following message on its website: "Trader Group regrets to announce the closure of our program. We have recently completed an audit, which revealed an incorrect formula in our main spreadsheet whereby we have inadvertently been advertising (and paying) the incorrect dividend rate compared with what we have been achieving on our investments. After the correction of the formula and re-calculation of the ledger, together with the failure (or extended delay) of one of our largest investments, we have found we have insufficient equity in investments and current e-currency accounts to meet our members' dues. This unfortunate situation has required us to review the feasibility of continuing the program. After consultation with our legal people, we are regrettably compelled to discontinue "Trader Group 2002", effective immediately. No more deposits will be accepted an no more withdrawals will be completed. Trader Group has endeavoured to live up to our offer for the past 12 months and does not wish any member to lose their investment. To that end we are beginning the long process of refunding all members their "out-of-pocket" funds. Most members have already recouped their investment and are in profit. For those who are not in profit, we will refund the difference between your deposits and your (completed) withdrawals, beginning with the most recent member and then working back chronologically. The process of refunds may be delayed depending on the availability of funds from refunds from onegroup, investment returns and maturing investments, but rest assured everyone will be paid eventually. We are genuinely sorry about the closure of the program and after the refund process is completed and every member is repaid, we will consider re-opening the program. We at Trader Group wish all members good fortune in their current and future investments."
Gold Games has announced that its website will be back on November the 15th.

Beware!!! A scammer sends e-mails to e-gold accounts holders telling them that they may be the recipients of potentially fraudulent funds. These e-mails provide a fake link to access your account that takes you to a perfect copy of e-gold login page. One easy way to see that it is not the real e-gold site is that, when you refresh the page in your browser, the turing number stays the same. Never access your account via such a link. It would provide them with your account number and passphrase, and you know what would happen next...

Evocash recently started to send e-mails to its members on a regular basis. One from today reads:
"IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM X-CHANGERS
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
X-Changers is suspending the processing of all incoming checks and money
orders.
We realize this will be a disappointment to many, but the handling of checks
will become very difficult in light of our transition to Europe.
We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, but this is necessary as X-Changers
is officially disconnecting itself from any and all banking within the United
States. This is a choice that, although inconvenient now, will be in the best
interests of all our customers, regardless of E-Currency preference. We have
your privacy interests in mind and the pressures exerted by the US banking
industry since the tragic events of 911 have made our work difficult.
If you have sent checks recently, we will be returning them. Anything received
from today on (October 3rd) is being returned.
We are deeply sorry for the temporary impact this will have on some of you.
Our intent is to make arrangements with a third party agent that will continue
to process checks on our behalf. This is in fact an option that may surface in
the coming weeks, but in the interim, we must suspend the handling of checks
until our move is complete.
We ask that you spread the word on to others within the E-Currency world as we
wish to save them the trouble of having their funds returned.
Please bear in mind that these changes will have no impact on any of the other
services we provide-we simply have to eliminate this one option.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We hope to have our transition to
Europe finalized by the end of this month so things can once again return to
"business as usual".
Have an excellent day,
X-Changers Admin"
Glamourous Glare (8%@50) has announced that it will not pay today and until monday. They invite their members to rate on Gold Games website.

Cash Domain Gold Pool has been added at the bottom of this page. The admin of this program claims that:
"1) I don't invest in programs or games where the payouts are unrealistic. 2) I don't invest in programs that are on free sites unless they have been around for a long time and paid out consistently. 3) I don't invest in programs that don't have all of their details listed on their site. 4) I don't invest in programs that don't post an email address and a contact name. 5) I don't invest in programs that look like it only took 5 minutes to build the site."
WARNING. I have recently received many fake e-mails disguised as messages from e-gold, asking me to correct my personal information in my account. Never enter your personal info anywhere else than the e-gold official website.
Details (from Cash Domain Gold Pool admin): "I've twice received emails this past week that say they are from support@e-gold.com. The email asks you to log into your e-gold account and update your information. If you get your email in html, what you see is a copy of the login screen for your e-gold account complete with spaces to enter your e-gold account #, your passphrase and a turing number. (The turing number was 936921 in both emails I received) If you check the html source code for the email, it appears, your login information is automatically emailed to someone in Europe. I sent a copy of the email to e-gold but haven't heard back from them."
Casinoegold has stopped paying. 02-10-02
Look at the bottom of the page for new programs. Most of them offer high to very high monthly percentages. They must be considered risky and may not last very long.
High Yield Holdings website is back. This program had stopped its payments for a few weeks in July before returning with a 1% per day structure on the 22nd of August. It has been paying daily since then.

09-27-02
OSGold has posted this new message on their website:
"UPDATE 09/25/02 - Our efforts to resolve all issues related to the operation and exchange of OSGold are progressing in a positive manner. Due to the complexity and nature of these dealings, there is not a lot of information which can be made available to the public at this time. We are working diligently with INT to assure that these matters are resolved within the 90 day mandate established on 7/15. Information as to the manner in which exchanges will take place will be released as we are able to.
Some of the news below will make it clear that a single factor (the problems the e-gold website has been experiencing recently) may have a snowballing effect on many programs.
We are presently caught in a situation where we still don't know what will happen with OsGold (I personally am not over-optimistic on this issue) and e-gold seems to cause some programs to disappear or, at least, suspend their payments for varying lengths of time.
I hope this shows everyone the importance of diversification, not only in a varied good quality portfolio of programs but also in different e-currencies.
If you go to the Stats section, you will realize that all the programs that closed recently were rated as high or very high risk. See this type of programs as highly speculative. Never put more than a small proportion of your portfolio in these.
e-gold website still had problems over the last few days. The fact that people cannot receive their payments and make new spends in programs may have a dramatic effect on HYIPs and Games.
A really prudent "investor" should refrain from making anymore spends via e-gold for now and wait for the situation to resolve.
As the price of gold has been steadily increasing over the last year and a half, it is ok to leave your gold-backed e-currencies in their accounts as they may increase in value (slowly) without being at risk in programs.
3 Day Pay, which was rated as having a high risk level, has closed. See below.
Intsoftex, which was supposed to cycle last friday, hasn't. A couple of days ago, they said that the e-gold situation had caused their recent problems... See their new message below and judge for yourself.
33 Days of Gold still seems (along with GGD) to be a program that is run by an honest admin. September the 27th through the 29th will be no pay days as Gerry will then take a (well deserved) 3 day vacation.
Dream Gold website definitely disappeared last week.
Due to the e-gold situation, Global Gold Depository now also accepts PayPal.
Glamorous Glare (8%@day) has also stopped its payments and claims they will start again on the 29th of September. They also say that the e-gold situation has hurt them.
Europa Gaming PLC, which was rated as having a very high risk level, has stopped paying on the 21st of September. Their Website is still there.
Ulti-Matrix (run by roger Auge of GGD) has paid a 1% bonus to all its members whether they have cycled or not.
Westside Holdings has moved its re-opening day to the 5th of October. It was supposed to be on the 25th of September. 19th of September: e-gold website has been experiencing problems for the last 24 hours. 20th of September: everything seems back to normal.
Global Gold Depository changed their fee structure. See below.
The Golden Bank raised their withdrawal fees. See below.
We have deleted the listing for The Gold Emporium for non payment on the 15th of September. TGE announced they would not be making future payouts for at least the next 45 days.
Dominica Gaming Services removed on the 15th of September. Doesn't pay anymore.
Gold Flow Forever changed their rates (from 5% to 1.4% 3 times a week) on the 11th of September. See below.
Dream Gold removed on September the 9th 2002. Their website is still there but there seems to be problems with this program. I don't know, I haven't tried to withdraw yet... 20th of September: the site is not accessible anymore.
